FAQs

Tickets, venues and putting on a show.

How do I put a show on?
Sign up for a promoter account and create your event. You can set up tickets, sales, door access and everything else from your dashboard. If you get stuck, give us a shout.
Can I get a refund?
Generally not for a change of mind — event tickets aren't the same as ordinary retail purchases. Cancelled or postponed events are different. See our Refund Policy for the full details.
Where are my tickets?
Your tickets and QR codes are emailed once payment is confirmed. If you have an Admitix account, they're also in My tickets. Can't find the email? Use Find my tickets to get a secure recovery link.
Can I transfer or send my ticket to someone else?
Not at the moment — ticket transfers aren’t currently supported. If there’s a problem with your booking, contact the event organiser or get in touch with us.
What happens if an event is cancelled or postponed?
We'll contact ticket holders using the email address on the booking. What happens next depends on the event and the organiser's policy. See our Refund Policy for the full details.
What are Admitix’s fees?
4.2% of the ticket price plus 30c per admission, plus GST and payment processing. You'll see the total before checkout.
What payment methods can I use?
We accept the major payment methods supported through Stripe in New Zealand, including major cards and supported digital wallets where available.
Can I sell tickets at the door?
Yes. Promoters can enable door sales for an event, use Box Office to take payment, and give door staff access to scan tickets. Set it up from the event dashboard before the show.
How does Venue Share work?
Eligible paid tickets send 50% of Admitix’s platform fee back to the venue. The share builds automatically and is paid separately from the promoter’s event settlement.
I’m a venue — how do I claim my venue?
Get in touch with the venue name and the email you'll use for Admitix. We'll link that account to the venue so you can access its dashboard, add payout details and complete any verification needed before a payout can be made.
Can promoters create their own events?
Yes. Create a promoter account, then use the dashboard to build and publish your event.
When do promoters get paid?
Event proceeds are settled after the event. Timing can vary if there are refunds, chargebacks or other settlement issues, and the event’s financial dashboard shows what is available.
Who do I contact if something goes wrong?
Email [email protected] or use our contact page.
